Welcome to the official hub for all Perth Slot Car Club Racing information! This page has everything club members need to stay up to date — including full rulebooks, race formats, and event guidelines. All documents and rule sets are available for download right here so you’re always ready to race.

We race in line with the Western Australian school terms, running two car classes per term. During school holidays, we take a 2-week break, except at the end of the year when we continue through Term 4, with a break over Christmas and New Year. While championships pause, we still run casual night racing events for test, tune, and fun racing.

Racing Rule Categories – What They Mean

At Perth Slot Car Racing, our rules are split into four groups. Each offers a different level of tuning freedom and competition style:

1. Stock Class

Stock doesn’t mean “out of the box.”
This class has specific gear ratios and minimum weight rules. It’s designed to keep racing fair and consistent, focusing on driving skill and setup basics—not high-end parts.

2. Open Class

Open doesn’t mean “open motor.”
This class allows more freedom with gearing, setup, and tuning. It’s less restricted than Stock but still follows fair competition guidelines. Great for racers who like to experiment and optimize performance.

3. Australasian Championship Rules (NSR)

These follow the official NSR rulebook used for the Perth Slot Car Racing 2025 NSR Australasian Championships. All entries must meet these standards to compete.

4. PSCR Club Rules

Custom rules made by our local club community. These may slightly differ from Stock or Open and are designed to suit our track, racers, and evolving club formats.
